Syria.

Its a big scary country right now. So far away from America that none of us care… the Middle East that Americans know consists primarily of Israel, Iraq, and Iran. 

Quite sad really. 

This is the Krak de Chevaliers near Homs. Homs is a state-controlled bloodbath right now with the President of the country cracking down on protesters. Killing hundreds of his own citizens, if not thousands. 

The slow moving United Nations has been unable to accomplish anything. The Arab League is getting tired of it too, but trade sanctions and “peacekeepers” is not enough. 

I hope that things change soon. Things will get better, they must.
